To be honest, the fact the teen even has a list perplexes and amazes me.

The only thing that would have surprised me more would have been finding that he had actually taken out the garbage.

My pre-teen makes lists sometimes, but she's seen me do it a million times so the poor thing probably thinks it's a very 'grown up' thing to do.
